At a Loss

Anybody know of a good, fast, maybe local source for new laptop keyboards? Ethan ripped all my keys off (again), and I don't have it in me to do surgery (again), especially since I have less salvageable parts this time.

Liturgical Presbyterians

This excellent post by Joel Garver makes me wish I was a Presbyterian again. I know, I know...it's not too late.

Distantly related, I learned today that Pastor Darwin Jordan, who baptized me and admitted me to the Lord's table as a child, is now pastoring Forth Worth Presbyterian Church (PCA). Incidentally, the Episcopal Diocese of Forth Worth happens to be one of the more high-church or Anglo-Catholic dioceses. At any rate, Darwin apparently declared paedocommunion as an exception (to the Westminster Standards) when he transferred into North Texas Presbytery. "Unless you acquire the heart of a child, you cannot enter the kingdom of God."

Speaking of the Baby Bandwagon...

Hollie's now driving a white '96 Dodge Grand Caravan, thanks to the generosity of her grandparents!

Joel Wilhelm's "Diatribe"

If the title scares you, the first sentence of this post should set you at ease: "I grew up in a church that was started by a group of families...." Joel's sustained musings on the church here include helpful illustrations from his own experience, from history and the present, all working toward a series of good, practical, tough questions.

Early Mornings

Is there any way to turn a kid's internal alarm clock off? Or at least reset the time zones?
